The International Symposium in Asynchronous Circuits and Systems (ASYNC) series is the premier forum for researchers around the globe to present their latest findings in the area of asynchronous design, an increasingly practical alternative to addressing many of the challenges designers are facing as we reach the end of Moore’s law. This conference brings together 70-100 international researchers and has been located in Copenhagen, Denmark (2012), Ithaca, New York (2011), Grenoble, France (2010), Chapel Hill, North Carolina (2009), Newcastle UK (2008), and Berkeley, California (2007). I have been on the steering committee since 2004 and have severed as program and general co-chairs in the past.

Authors will be invited to submit full papers on any aspect of asynchronous design, ranging from the core topics of design, synthesis, and test, to asynchronous applications in system-level integration and emerging computing technologies, including neuromorphic systems. This year we expect a significant industrial presence as we are close to one of the largest industry application of asynchronous design at Intel SRD, now in Calabasas plan on having a special industry-oriented session on crossing-clock boundaries a current hot topic in industry.
