Integrated Systems Seminar Series
Organizer: Hossein Hashemi
Sponsored: Spring 2011 – present
The Integrated Systems Seminar Series brings speakers from academia and industry to USC to give a talk on various aspects related in Integrated Systems, Circuits, and Devices with wide range of applications including communication, computation, networking, sensing, and imaging. Most speakers meet with selected faculty, PhD students, and post-doctoral scholars within the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering during their visit at USC. Some speakers attract audience beyond the Electrical Engineering, including those from Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Materials Sciences. The Integrated Systems Seminar Series is also offered as a 1-unit graduate course (Ph.D. and advanced M.S.) under EE 598. The Integrated Systems Seminar Series is organized and hosted by the faculty and senior Ph.D. students, especially those interested to join academia, whose research are in areas covered in the seminar series.
The Ming Hsieh Institute began providing support for the Integrated Systems Seminar series in January 2011 and will continue supporting the seminar series for the 2012-13 academic year (a total of 30 speakers will be invited). Three research groups led by Hossein Hashemi, Mike Chen, and Mahta Moghaddam will be in charge of organizing and hosting the seminar series.
